The Purpose of GCSE Coursework
The educational purposes of GCSE Coursework are as such:
- To enable students to increase the breadth and range of their studies.
- To ensure that students put more effort into their education over the entire period in which they study for the course. They can no longer put in large amounts of effort in the period leading up to exams; they must continually strive to do well.
- To allow students to demonstrate their ability to develop, investigate and expand upon ideas
- To become familiar with in-depth, specialised topics that a student may come in to contact if he persues a subject further
